By default, the Windows 11 taskbar is aligned to the center of the screen. When you click the Start button, the menu will look like this:
To confirm you are using Windows 11:
- Click the Start button.
- Click Settings.
- Click About.
- Under Windows specifications, next to Edition, you will see Windows 11.

Windows 10
By default, the Windows 10 is aligned to the bottom-left of the screen. When you click , the menu will look like this:
To confirm you are using Windows 10:

- In the search bar, type about your PC.
- Click About your PC.
- Under Windows specifications, next to Edition, you will see Windows 10.

Windows 8 or Windows 8.1
If you are using Windows 8 or 8.1, when you click , the menu will look like this:
To find out if you are using Windows 8 or 8.1:
- Click .
- Click .
- Click PC and devices > PC info.
- Under Windows, next to Edition, you will see your Windows version.
